SharePoint 2016 – Upgrade SQL 2014 to 2019

I recently upgraded the SQL instance from 2014 enterprise to 2019 enterprise. SharePoint 2016 is working fine with this version, but the Reporting service is not integrated with SharePoint anymore.

 

The official documentation is saying clearly that the integration with SharePoint is no longer available after SQL server 2016.

During the installation, you will get the following:

During the upgrade, it will let you know that the features will be uninstalled.

The installation of the report service is pretty straightforward. Once it’s installed, it will provide you the URL to use.
